I know I have not been before you much these last couple of months and for good reason. This year brought forth triumphs and defeats and I know we have all had our share. Here is a snippet of what I went through this year:
In the beginning of the year we experienced the passing of a loved one.
I went back to college after a 10+year absence to finish my last year and I graduated with my B.A. degree in Psychology. Taking time off to have a family was one of the best decisions that I have made, however looking back retrospectively, there are a few things that I would have done differently. (It’s never too late to go back to school or to finish it)
My children were involved in sports all summer which required a lot of time and support (gotta love the activities!)
In the last several months my hosting account was switched and I had a time getting that information transferred over (always keep a backup people)
Recently in the last couple of months, the motherboard on my computer crashed so I was without all of my pictures and data that I needed for blogging (Note: keep a backup people)
Are you getting the theme here. We store our lives on our phones and devices and when that information is lost or near being lost forever, you just about loose it. Thankfully and prayerfully all of my data and information was saved and recovered. Backup, Backup, Backup. I can’t emphasize that point enough. No one should go through what I did this year! Needless to say, I am looking forward to greater things in 2014.
I have learned patience and I have gained renewed strength from my trials this year. It is also more than okay to unplug and reconnect with those around you in real life. Life is to short and too precious to waste. In these past few months I have had more than enough time to reflect and re-evaluate my priorities and discover things about myself that I may not have known otherwise. I enjoyed this season of thankfulness and giving, spending time with family and friends. (Priceless)
In 2014 I intend to:
Be more organized
Continue my fitness and healthy lifestyle
Prioritize my time
Blog more
Enjoy the moments with family
From the TNT (Tickles & Tots) family thank you for your support, following and reading this year. I appreciate you! I am expecting greater in 2014 and I believe we will achieve what we set out to accomplish this year. God Bless. Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
What are your resolutions for 2014? Let’s talk about it.
My resolutions this year are:
To stop eating meat
To start taking better care of mine and my family’s health
To be more in the moment with my family
To get more serious about my career
Hey Cristal,
Happy New Year to you and the family! Those are great resolutions and I hope you accomplish every one of your goals this year. We have to get together soon! Take care.
