I have been a Mary J. Blige fan since I was a teenager. I remember when she debued one of her first songs “Real Love” back in the early 90’s. I have listened to her music over the years and I have watched her music evolve into what it is today. Mary J Blige has been in the music industry for a long time and I am so proud of the musical accomplishments she has achieved throughout the years. She definitely has longevity in the music industry. This album is a different vibe ranging from the vocals to the musical arrangements.
Mary touches on relationships, breakups, mental anguish, working it out and not giving up and so much more. Her vocals are soulful and are always delivered with her signature voice and sound that we all know and love. This new album The London Sessions is a combination of slow ballads, uptempo beats and dance/house party music. There is something for everyone to enjoy! I was listening to the music, bopping my head, snapping my fingers and then I had to get up and dance along!
I enjoyed listening to all of the songs from the new album, but my favorites are Tracks are #1 Therapy , #2 Doubt and #10 Pick Me Up
I watched her perform her new track on the AMA’s this past Sunday and I was excited to hear her perform this new release having listened to her new album days prior.
