Dr. Martin Luther King was a profound Civil Rights Leader who fought for justice and equality among all of the races. He was eloquent in his speech, a man far wiser than his years, a devoted father, a minister who loved God and was not ashamed of his faith, he fought and died for what he believed in, he was not afraid to speak out against racism and segregation. Dr. Martin Luther King paved the way so that generations that followed his legacy would have the right to freedom, liberty and equality.

Today we honor a man of great significance who has forever changed the course of history and who has impacted all of our lives in one way or another.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave us so much. I can’t help but get a bit angry when I see young people behaving stupid and “thugish,” because I think of the sacrifices that Dr. King and his family made so that we could be considered equal and be treated as such. *Sigh* I choose to honor the man that did more for this country than Lil Wayne or Jay-Z could ever dream of.

Thank you for continuing the discussion of this amazing man and his accomplishments.

      Hi Reese,

I agree, the youth of today have no idea (none at all!) of the contributions and the sacrifices that those before us had to endure just so we could have freedom. I wish this younger generation would study their rich history and appreciate the roads marched, the bridges crossed and paths that were paved for them. Through these predecessors, generations to follow would have access to schools, jobs, education, the right to vote, social acceptance and human rights. I am upset because the young generation of today thinks that society owes them something or they are entitled to that which they didn’t earn. More in another post :-). Thanks for commenting.

Entering 2021 with an “Intentional” mindset!

Here are a few tips to be more mindful and intentional this year!

This is my word of the year and it is so important to be a good steward over everything we have been entrusted with! (Work in progress!) 😀

So how will you spend your year?

But be ye doers of the word; and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

Hope

I heard a song that reminded me of all the times I stood in my bathroom praying and crying out to God asking Him to change our situation and bless us with a new house. We looked for a solid 10 years new and old, short sale, foreclosures, for sale by owner, etc. We saw it all. But it wasn’t the right time. Other people’s destiny is tied into yours (another post on that later).

And as I am typing this in my new office, in my new home that I had been believing and praying to God for - for literally almost 20 years!

As tears are running down my face and stinging my eyes, these are tears of thanks and praise and pure gratefulness.

I shared this because I need you to know that there are blessings on the other side. Keep hoping for the future!

I remember where we were and how blessed we are now, by the grace and mercy and favor of God!

What are you believing God for in 2021? Leave a comment below👇🏽

If I know anything for sure, it’s that God is a miracle worker and blessing giver! Keep praying, keep trusting!

That thing you are believing God for - keep believing. Don’t stop now!

Storms come and go, trials and circumstances won’t last always. Even if it takes 20 years to see the manifestation of those prayers - are you willing to wait and go the distance without wavering, without caving in, even when “it looks” like nothing is happening. Will you stay faithful and keep trusting no matter what?

The blessings are on the other side - keep going! I’m rooting for you! Testimony loading...
