About the book:
Welcome to The Runner. The Runner is the first book in a seven-part series that follows the life of Michael Knight, a young man who is conflicted about his future and who embarks on a long journey of self-discovery. In that sense, Michael is like many of us. I don’t think anyone ever just “arrives.” We all have to go through things in life in order to learn and grow. In the small town of Ozark Falls, Missouri from a long line of men who are called to the ministry work arises a star athlete who has his own agenda. Will Michael Knight follow in the footsteps of his father and brothers, only time will tell the story. The Runner is not the typical runner you expect, keep reading to discover the hidden truth behind the title.
My Thoughts: I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this book. The book was easy to read and follow. A. Wayne Gill has skillfully written this book, the story keeps you in suspense until the end. I couldn’t wait to reach the end to find out what happened to the characters. Sometime’s in life we make choices and take the road that is not always in our best interest, though we think we are making the right decisions at the time, we find out the hard way that the choice was incorrect. That is what happened to the main character Michael Knight, will he choose the path that God has planned for him or will he convince himself that the power, prestige and money will fill that empty void in his life. You decide, I encourage you to read for yourself, I followed the lives of each character to see how the end would unfold and I don’t want to spoil it for you. I really enjoyed reading this book.
