My Thoughts: I thought the theme was well-timed, because of the recent/upcoming movie releases Star Wars and Star Trek, which are really popular right now. What a way to draw in viewers. My kids were glued to the screen the whole time and they were very interested in the lesson. We are big Veggie Tales fans and I’ll share a quick story-We were in San Francisco for Fleet Week and a passenger on a bike ride was passing by and playing a tuba and my youngest son says, “Mom, where is Larry, from Veggie Tales?” So, you just never know what impact lessons like these and other television programs will have. Thankfully this was a positive show.
As a parent, I censor what my children watch and see on television. This is a program you can rally behind, because you don’t have to worry about turning the channel on commercials or cringing when something inappropriate flashes across the screen. The message is awesome, we are a Christian family so we try to incorporate Bible lessons into our everyday life and this is an additional supplement to what we teach already.
