Summer is finally here and we kick of the Bar-b-que season with a family gathering full of food, fireworks and fun!
I love this time of year, the warm weather, the fresh fruit and the endless days of hot weather and fun.
We celebrate another year of freedom, we honor those who have fallen, our heroes and those still on the front lines, fighting for peace.
Enjoy this time with your loved ones and all of the holiday festivities. The holiday offers parades and fireworks, family traditions, great food, fellowship and an all around good time.
My favorite summertime memory growing up, was watching the fireworks. We lived in the Bay Area and the fireworks were always held at the Coliseum at the time. The sky would light up so bright with so many beautiful colors, shapes and patterns. The sound was ear piercing as if you were right there, yet we were many miles away. It was fun and exciting at the same time, but so scary because of the noise!
The whole neighborhood watched the fireworks together, all the children were excited to be up late and playing in the streets running around and standing in awe gazing at the firework show. We loved it!
What is your favorite 4th of July memory or tradition?
