Out with the old, in with the fresh and new. But not really! The old logo represents my beginning as a blogger. It was one of the very first professional logos that I had made and paid for. I held on to that logo for years, even though the colors of the blog have changed throughout the years.
I love the color turquoise, it is very peaceful and calming and it reminds me of the water. So powerful in force, but also beautiful and tranquil at the same time. We have already updated the logo changes on our social media networks.
My Blogging Story
When I first started blogging, I believe it was in 2007 and I was operating a small handmade natural bath and body shop. I started the blog to list my sales and engage with my followers. It was my pride and joy and I was passionate about my business.
I learned a lot about myself and the business back then. I had a small business a husband and 3 small children to care for. It was a struggle to balance home-life, a business and a growing family.
So despite my heart’s desire, I let the business go. I am not a quitter by any means, so that choice was an extremely painful and difficult one to accept.
Introducing Tickles and Tots, I started this blog in 2010 as a way to document my motherhood and parenting journey with my three little ones.
Let me tell you it was not easy. They kept me busy and in stitches. I laughed a lot and cried some too. I started out on the Blogger.com platform and “Mom Bloggers” were trending at the time. I migrated to WordPress after a few years and kept on going. There were quite a few bloggers that owned the space and really flourished, made lots of money and the rest is history.
I tried mom blogging for some time, then I was a product reviewer, book reviewer and blogger. I have worked with brands both big and small, on many social media campaigns and with affiliate networks.
In all of this I have never given up on blogging. I was not as consistent at times, because I didn’t have systems in place like I should have to keep me organized and on task. Always writing and keeping content to myself and in many, many journals was not helping anyone.
So I have more to tell, that is a little snippet for now. I hope you enjoy the new look. Many exciting things are to come and I will give my best effort to bring you valuable content if you are willing to listen and provide positive feedback.
That’s all for now.
