Welcome, if you are new to this site or a returning visitor! This month I decided to change things a little, for instance I am participating in the BlogHer NaBloPoMo writing challenge to blog everyday for 30 days. I will admit some days are harder then others to submit a post. My apologies I missed a few days.
This past weekend was my birthday, Yay! I decided to take a break from social media and blogging and take some time for myself. Me time, what is that you might ask?
Well let me tell you, “Personal Time or Me Time” doesn’t happen that often in my house. When the opportunity presents itself, I make sure that I use that time to workout, pamper myself, spend time with friends or whatever I need to do to recharge and refresh myself. In the past I used excuses or found some way to sabotage my own free time, which is silly because I am always asking for quiet time to myself and then when I get it-you get the point. Anyway, enough said. As moms and parents alike we all need that personal time to reflect and to cherish the role that we are in. We are raising leaders and spiritual leaders for the next generation and this is not a role that I take for granted. It is wise to impart knowledge and understanding to our children while they are yet young and when they grow old they will not depart from it. The question is What are you teaching your children?
We have all been blessed to be in the land of the living. This past year has had its share of triumphs and distractions, but we press on and move forward. I am thankful and blessed to be here celebrating another year and thankful for life, health and strength. Thank God for his unfailing mercy and grace, I don’t know where I would be without God.
Reflection is an excellent tool for viewing the path that you came from, seeing how far you have traveled and looking forward to the road before you. Until next time, Take Care!
